Right now, I think it's fair to say a lot of Americans continue to be stressed. There are four main types of levels: Race, Survival, Team and Final. The helplessness during these moments works to amuse the players at the sheer absurdity of the gameplay. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, from developer Mediatonic, is classified as a "battle royale", but certainly doesn't share any DNA with the likes of PUBG and Fortnite.

Fall Guys is the perfect time waster. I don't really like any of the tag games, particularly when you get their team-based variants. With every passing round, minigames are randomized and a slew of players are eliminated, narrowing the batch until a final trial. Those wanting to earn their way to the best items won't be met with a monumental grind and will be regularly rewarded simply for playing the game.

When a crowd of 60 players gathers at the start of the first round, each in their own colorful outfits, it looks like an army of eager game show players wrapped in wacky foam rubber costumes.

There's a solid variety to the types of rounds in Fall Guys. Released on August 4 for PlayStation 4 and PC, "Fall Guys" is a battle royale game unlike any I've ever played (and that's great, considering the genre rarely strays from the norm). There's also the levels that are clearly not as good as the others, but over time I am sure developer Mediatonic will figure this out.

This game is all about a series of mini-games , where players can get eliminated. In their defense, the developers are working tirelessly to expand their servers to account for the overwhelming amount of players, but in the meantime, expect to be disconnected, especially if you're playing with friends or spectating.

It doesn't take long for a bit of repetition to kick in. The randomisation of how rounds are picked in Fall Guys does mean that there's still new modes to see after a few hours, but you'll have seen the see-saws several times, got to know the obstacles courses and more.
